PAY ATTENTION — For Your Well-Being, Become a Good Psychic

Posted by Lauren Thyme On July - 7 - 2012

I believe that all humans are intuitive, psychic, have extra-sensory perceptions.  I believe that our inborn, intuitive abilities are vital to our well-being, health, careers, maybe our lives.  I hope this article will encourage you to hone your abilities, regardless if you are just beginning or have been practicing for many years.

I’ve talked to some successful people.  One thing those people had in common is what they call “gut feelings” or “instincts” when it comes to knowing who to trust or when to sign that important deal.

“Long John Speaking”

Posted by staff On June - 6 - 2012

“Let me tell you about the night I offered my WOR listeners a taste of reincarnation.”

by Long John Nebel

From FATE MagazineFebruary 1961 Vol. 14, No. 2, (reprinted Jan/Feb 2011)

“I’M GOING to teach you to contact people you knew in your previous lives. I’m going to show you and your radio audience how to do this, and I’m going to guarantee that some of the audience will get results—tonight! You may not believe in reincarnation, or the idea may be absolutely new to you, but I’m going to show you how to prove it to yourself with a personal experiment.”

That’s what the man said, right on my WOR Party Line show with its thousands of listeners. He said that he could conduct a do-it-yourself experiment in reincarnation, and we told him to go right ahead.

Long John Nebel

I know that many of you readers know my reputation for exposing frauds and fakes and I do not want you to think that the program I am going to tell you about was any effort to make light of the subject of reincarnation. Reincarnation is not a subject that anybody ought to treat lightly. After all, something like half the people in the world have a deep religious belief that they are going to be reborn into this world.

Myself, I’ve had two thoughts about reincarnation. First, I may have lived before, but unfortunately I can’t remember anything about it. Second, maybe I will be reborn but I won’t know for sure and certain until after I die.

Now I’ll go a long ways to find the truth of something, neighbors, so now let me tell you about a guy with an offer to give anyone who wants to try a taste of immortality and reincarnation. And all without asking anyone to go the whole hog and die.

If you are a regular listener to our WOR Party Line, you know what’s coming because you heard about this experiment right from the horse’s mouth during one of the most sensational programs ever broadcast.

The man who dropped the bomb on this fantastic show was a guy named Aaron G. Cohen. Mr. Cohen recently wrote a book called The Path to Reincarnation which was why we called him and asked him to sit around a mike with Long John and the members of the Party Line panel.

Mr. Cohen turned out to be a very solid citizen. He is in the real estate business in Hartford, Conn., and was named by Connecticut’s Governor Ribicoff to serve on the Connecticut Commission on Services to Elderly Persons. He is also very high up in a number of other civic and fraternal movements.

Sitting on the Party Line panel for our interview with Cohen were Warren Pack and Del Ray, both of whom are highly skilled at digging for facts in discussions on psychic and metaphysical problems. And, as our listeners know, I have a lot of experience along this line myself. I know all the gimmicks and I’ve seen most of the phony operations from the inside. But like I say, how are you going to know about reincarnation from the inside unless you’re dead?

This being the case and the problem, one of the first questions we put to Cohen was this: if we’ve lived through previous lives, why don’t we remember them? Read the rest of this entry »

MidSummer Rituals and Festivities in New Orleans

Posted by Kala Ambrose On June - 4 - 2012

Midsummer (June 23) in New Orleans is celebrated in a festival also known as St. John’s Eve. During Midsummer, it is said that the Goddess manifests as Mother Earth and the God as the Sun King. In Celtic lore, it regarded as the best time to see fairies and in pagan times it was the feast of the Goddess Aine. In later days as Christianity took over the holidays from the pagans, they changed the festivals to feasts for Saints.

Currently in Catholic celebrations, June 23rd is known as St. John’s Eve, with St. John’s Day celebrated on the 24th, as the day of his birth, though it is not confirmed whether this is the actual day of his birth. It is interesting to note that the pagan story commemorated the balance and changing of rule between the Oak King and the Holly King and then in Christianity, it became representations of the birthday of St. John to represent Summer Solstice and the birthday for Christ as Winter Solstice.

This eve culminates the celebration of Summer Solstice. It begins at dusk on the 23rd and continues till sunrise on the 24th. This day is one of several days throughout the year where the veil is thin and communication with the spirit world is strong and easily accessed.

Though the heat of Summer is just beginning, this date actually begins the ‘metaphorical’ decline of the Sun as it embarks on its journey to the Underworld, which will culminate on December 21st, the darkest day of the year.

Loaded with symbolism, St. John’s Eve was and is still celebrated throughout Europe, with bonfires, parties and celebrations. Perhaps there is no place on earth where St. John’s Eve is celebrated like it is in New Orleans. The French people brought Catholicism with them as they moved to Louisiana and in New Orleans it mixed in easily with traditional African magic, rituals and rites. This blending of the two cultures found common ground in lighting candles in prayer to ancestral spirits and asking saints to intervene when help was needed, as well as revering divine feminine figures in both religions. MAYAN CALENDAR: The new species evolution has been waiting for

Posted by Lauren Thyme On May - 30 - 2012

I’m here to tell you about the Good News!

We all know about the bad news.

So much bad news we can’t take it in anymore.  We turn our heads, distract our minds and hearts, because the bad news is so huge, so alarming, so pervasive, so seemingly-impossible to fix, we tune out.  “I’m just one person.  What can I do?”

The good news I extrapolate from the Mayan Sacred Calendar – no, not the famous one that people say foretells doom and gloom.   I mean the evolutionary Calendar of Consciousness.  It’s a calendar not of time, but events.  This Calendar tells us we’re more than okay; we’re evolving/evolved into a new species, one that is capable of conscious co-creation.  The species that all of evolution has been planning, nurturing, and waiting for!   Us!! Can the Human Energy Fields affect Electronics?

Posted by Kala Ambrose On May - 21 - 2012

Auras and Chakras are part of the Human Energy Field

Recently a reader wrote to me with a question about the aura. She wondered if our human energy field could have an effect on electronics and she shared a personal experience which said… “Hello Kala, I have a digital alarm clock that I used to have to reset every 5 days or so because it gained time. I’ve had this clock a few years and its always been this way. My mother’s room was adjacent to mine. She recently died and since then I haven’t had to reset my clock!! Could she have affected the clock’s mechanism? It sounds weird but a few years ago she went to see a psychic who I had seen as well as other members of my family. He knew the names of deceased relatives, etc. There was no problem reading me or other members of my family. And no, we didn’t volunteer information as we were somewhat skeptical and didn’t want to give him any clues he could work from. Anyway, my mother went to see him and he was stumped. He tried and tried but he couldn’t read her. Are there people who can affect clocks, etc without knowing it? Thank you”.

I found this question most intriguing and a topic that I’ve discussed in depth in my book, The Awakened Aura: Experiencing the Evolution of Your Energy Body (Llewellyn 2011).  My response to this question is as follows:

Thanks for writing with a most intriguing question. You ask – “Are there people who can affect clocks, etc without knowing it”?

The short answer is Yes and it has been studied, researched and discussed by people in both the spiritual and scientific realms.

The Aura Body and Energy

As an intuitive, I’ve seen auras since childhood. Over the years, I began to study what I saw in the aura, observing the energetic patterns and shapes as well as short energy bursts that I would see erupting from the body, similar to what occurs when the sun emits a solar flare. These energetic bursts are capable of disrupting electronics and are felt by other people who have intuitive ability and are sensitive to energy. Some people are aware of the energy they can build and for others it is a complete surprise when it occurs.

In some cases, it is not a burst of energy that is created, but rather energy residue that has built up and is trapped within the aura and energy bodies and is not able to be released properly. To imagine what this looks like in the field surrounding the body, visualize a thunder storm right before the rain is released from the clouds. The clouds are heavy and full, the energy gathers and the air feels pregnant, ready for a release. If the conditions are not right and the rain is not able to gently fall, tumultuous weather patterns can occur with lightning and high winds. Energy blocked in the fields can cause similar disruptions as it seeks to be released. When there is a blockage which stops the release of energy, it builds like a thunderstorm and can create havoc. I was listening to a nice man on YouTube today who calls himself Free Spirit. Today he was passing on an urgent message I have heard a lot in the last several years. The message is: the planet is facing critical and extreme woes in the 3rd dimension. That includes accidents such as the Deepwater Horizon spill, Fukishima nuclear accident, as well as pollution of air, water, food, economic meltdown, political and financial foul-play, and increasing solar, earthquake, and volcanic activity.

Free Spirit, along with many famous and ordinary people, believe our planet Earth is getting ready to ascend to a higher dimension, most likely in 2012. If all this is true, then we, as inhabitants on this planet are faced with choices, whether we are aware of them or not. We can be overtaken by death of our three dimensional bodies. Or we can decide to align with the ascension of our planet.

I have been watching increasing problems with interest. I observe that human beings seem to ignore complications until extreme problems are about to happen. We are not to blame. Our human brains are wired to take action if a “bear is at the cave door” (fight or flight) but longer-lasting, complex worries are tough to get our heads around. Not to mention any disinformation or outright lies perpetrated by media and political sources, for money-and-power advantages.

The Keeper I

One woman’s story of supernatural encounter and its aftermath

October 2011

by Julia Finley

My Google Homepage has evolved over time.  Now its got a little digi-pet, some news wires, noticeably no games, and a major menagerie of spiritual quotes from various religions.  And of course, my email preview on the upper-left.

Thank heavens for that — I could never take the burn of directly viewing my inbox.  I need a buffer.  Did they have people like me in mind when they designed such things?

Anyway, today’s preview:

You are receiving this email because you have incurred a warning from Religious Messageboards.  Repeat violations will result in permanent banning.

I peek at the previous window to confirm something I thought I saw. …Yes, I received two emails with this same subject header, from two different moderators.  It seems I’m already a repeat offender, but of what crime, I must read on to find out.

With instructive advice, anyone can find their soul’s own true path.
September 2011
by Dr. Jean Houston

Modern life can often times feels as though you are lost in the sea of people drifting without purpose.

As I travel around the globe speaking and training, I have consistently found that most people ask me the same question, “How do I discover my purpose in life?” In the past, who you became was determined by your family and circumstances. You didn’t have much choice. But now there is an open moment in history where you have the chance to tap into the soul of your purpose.

Millions of people right now are experiencing a yearning and desire to awaken to their unique gifts and offer them in service to the world—while living a life of joy and fulfillment. It’s a surging of the human spirit, a virtual global Read the rest of this entry »

The New Face of Witchcraft

One of the wold’s oldest religions is now one of the fastest growing movements in America. Why are the Wiccans finally coming out of the broom closet?

August 1999
by Janet Brennan

Andrea Biro, 19, is a Queens-based actress and model as well as a seond-degree Alexandiran Wiccan.

The name of the coven is the Iseum of Hidden Mysteries, but nothing looks mysterious about the antique red farmhouse that is its headquarters.

As I enter through the back door, I’m warmly greeted by coven leaders Julie and Lawrence, an ordinary-looking married couple. I instantly feel at ease as their gentle hound strolls over for a pat and a black-velvet kitten scampers after a shoelace. But this Sunday afternoon promises to be far from ordinary for me, for I am attending my first pagan ritual, performed by a coven of witches.

The word pagan means “country-dweller” — an appropriate description for Julie and Lawrence, who live in the thick pine woods 30 miles from the coast of Maine. They are members of The Fellowship of Isis, a pagan church with about 14,000 members worldwide who focus their worship on Egyptian deities. But while Julie feels an affinity for Egypt, she actually considers herself Read the rest of this entry »

Near-death Experiences

April 2005
by Ava Belle Chucta

I was born in January 1920, and I have had three near-death experiences. The first happened when I had measles at age seven. We had gone on a trip to Leadville, Colorado, a town above the timberline in the mountains southwest of Denver. My father worked in road construction all over the state of Colorado and he was going up there to check out a job.

We traveled in a Model-T dump truck. It was early fall, and it was getting cold. Three of us kids were on a feather bed covered with quilts in the back of the truck. My baby sister was wrapped in blankets on my mother’s lap on the front seat. There was not a cab on that truck.

We stayed in a hotel overnight in Leadville, and it was so cold in that room. It had linoleum on the floor that felt like ice when you walked barefoot on it. Read the rest of this entry »

Ten Proofs of Joan of Arc

Posted by staff On February - 28 - 2011

Some said she was mad and others that she was guided by Heaven. She was burned as a witch- yet she freed France and was sainted.

September 1952

From the forests Bois-chen…will come a maid…who after throwing down the citadels will slay the stag…and will trouble the isles of Britain with woeful sound.”—Prophecy of the Wizard Merlin.

September 1952- Vol. 5, No. 9

Five centuries ago the world was not so different from today. Most of Europe was clouded by the smoke of destruction and threat of annihilation.

In France men lived in daily fear—humbled beneath the heel of the oppressors from England. Vast stretches of the country were laid waste. Weeds and thistles grew in the fields. Villages were abandoned and the people hid in caves. The uncrowned king, Charles of Valois, cowered in the south of France. Daily the French people consulted prophets and seers for a sign—a sign that 100 years of war would cease.

At dawn on April 25, 1429, in the city of Tours, excitement mounted along every street. A sign had appeared. The court of the Dauphin, the Marshall Generals of France and a simple maid called Joan of Arc had come to the city. Read the rest of this entry »

Do We Stand At Armageddon?

Posted by staff On February - 24 - 2011

Critical events in the Middle East today suggest that the grim Biblical prophecy of Armageddon may be fulfilled.

March 1957
by Robert N. Webster

March 1957- Vol. 10, No. 3

In the middle of November, William H. Stoneman, famed war correspondent of the Chicago Daily News, stood upon a promontory in Northern Israel. A few hundred yards to the east, across the narrow valley of the Upper Jordan, were the fortifications of the Syrians.

At the point where Stoneman stood were the ruins of an Israeli village which the Syrians destroyed in May 1948. The trenches of the Israelis faced those across the Jordan.

To the southwest lay the lush valley of Esdraelon.

And above it commanding the valley, rose the heights of Armageddon.

Armageddon—a name to strike terror in the hearts of all students of the Bible and of prophecy. Armageddon—scene of the last and greatest battle that the world will ever know. Read the rest of this entry »

Flora, the Garden Angel’s Story

December 2001
by Evan Kress

I was a skeptic in all things paranormal until the death of my beloved, much admired wife Jeanne, when I realized that she was communicating something important to me through our garden angel.

Less than two months after her death from cancer on December l, 1997, an incident happened at our home in Asheville, North Carolina, that caused me to re-evaluate my beliefs. I have now accepted that communication can happen between people who love each other after one of them has left this physical world. My experiences with Flora, our garden angel, are responsible for my new belief in the “spirit world.” Read the rest of this entry »

Do Cats Really Have Nine Lives?

October 1998
by Susan Omoto

Halloween in Minnesota is usually cold, rainy, and miserable. But Halloween 1991 turned out to be snowsuit weather — a night not fit for man or beast.

In the early afternoon, the wind began whipping the dry leaves into small cyclones. By 4:00, little costumed devils were dragging their pointed tails in a foot of snow. By 5:00, neighbors abandoned their candy stations to shovel their walks. Six o’clock brought two more feet of snow and the temperature plummeted. Ghosts and goblins looked more like mummies in scarves and snowsuits. Cars were stuck in the street. Jack-o-lanterns had icicle smiles.

Was Boo-Kitty dead, or just catatonic?

By 7:00, the streets were empty. I couldn’t believe it when I heard the doorbell ring. It was one of my neighbors, with a dazed cat in her arms. She had found him in a snow bank and wanted to know if we could take him in. Read the rest of this entry »

July 1958- Vol. 11 No. 7

The power of certain mediums to break through the veil and put us into communication with those we have loved and lost is unquestioned nowadays by many of us. Out of the Body and Into the Lab

Posted by staff On January - 23 - 2011

Laboratory studies, old and new, may reveal some intriguing hints about the psychological workings behind some aspects of the out-of-body experience.

For as long as she could remember, Miss Z had experienced brief moments during the night in which she would wake up and find herself floating near her bedroom ceiling, looking down upon her still-sleeping body. And on this night, for the sake of science, she was apparently determined to try and have this same kind of out-of-body experience (OBE) again. Read the rest of this entry »

The Healing Angel

Posted by staff On January - 17 - 2011

Sunday, where I was scheduled to deliver the sermon. There were people behind me that I did not know. As I entered the church, one of the members called to me, “Charlie Brown, it’s about time you got here.” I was 15 minutes early, but they had expected me sooner.

A few minutes later, I was approached by a man who came up behind me. He asked if I was the same Charlie Brown that writes about angels. I told him I didn’t know if I was the only one, but I did write about angels.

“Did you write one about 50 years ago about your brother?” he asked.

I paused in amazement. “Yes, I did,” I replied. I had totally forgotten the story. It appeared in a magazine that I could no longer remember. Read the rest of this entry »
