As a little girl I always asked God in my night prayers to send guardian angels to care for me. In my later years I still asked for protection with the angels. Somehow it seemed to give me the strength I needed in so many things. In all my 91 years I still said this prayer and believed.
On December 1, 2003, I felt a twinge and fluttering in my heart. Feeling rather weak and unsteady I took to bed. For a week I lay there, feeling these were to be my last days on earth. I didn’t even bother to eat. As I lay in bed I prayed that God would take me quietly with no pain or discomfort—just let me sleep away.
My daughter stopped by and, seeing my condition, she telephoned my son. He and his wife took me to the hospital where I underwent many tests. I began to feel better and arrived home the day before Christmas. Again I prayed that God would send guardian angels to care for me.
The first night home I slept soundly. I awoke about three in the morning, and right next to my bed I saw two angels. Their wings were shining gold and their faces were beautiful. They wore long white gowns. One angel was taller than the other and stood behind the shorter one. Both angels had downcast eyes and their hands were folded in prayer. I felt so good knowing I had such protection and fell into a deep sleep.
Somehow when I awoke I felt much better. I had to return to the hospital for many more tests, but I went with faith and hope to remain here on earth. My tests proved okay and I returned home again with great faith in the supernatural.
God sent me those angels to let me know He was taking care of me. Oh yes, there are angels—if you have faith!—River Grove, Ill.
