The Importance of PSYCHIC / SPIRITUAL DISCERNMENT

Posted by Lauren Thyme On April - 24 - 2012

Lately I feel disturbed, as though our world has decided to become a genuine Tower of Babel. Not with a multitude of languages but an overwhelming spewing of beliefs – with each person seeming to think that his or her belief is the only accurate one. And there is a battle of these beliefs. Encouraging others to engage in battle. The battle creates war, frightening or separating or polarizing each other into — not just two warring camps — but many.

True Mystic Experiences

April 2000
by Tony Midnite

“Mother has asked that you make her burial dress.” The caller was my sister in Texas. Our mother had been in and out of the hospital there for several months, a victim of cancer. We knew that her final days were near. At the time (1962) I had established a career in New York as a designer and creator of costumes for Broadway shows and nightclub revues. At one time, Mother had helped me in my work and was familiar with it. “I think it would be entirely too traumatic for Read the rest of this entry »

House That Never Was

True Mystic Experiences

March 2001
by  J. Grimes

Gather around, gentle readers. Open your eyes and your mind, and get ready to be entertained with the true story of the house that never was. I grew up in a small city in southern Ohio called Zanesville. During my early childhood I was raised on a farm my father owned. When I was about eight years old we sold it and moved to the city. This opened up a whole new world for me, especially after I was given a bike. As passenger and freight trains were still common at that time, a bunch of us kids would ride to the train station and pass our after-school hours watching the coming and going of the trains. Nothing unusual about that, except at certain times when weather conditions were right, such as stormy overcast nights, sometimes we could see the outline of an old house off in the distance. Guardian Angel

True Mystic Experience

April 2005
by Lillian Burton

As a little girl I always asked God in my night prayers to send guardian angels to care for me. In my later years I still asked for protection with the angels. Somehow it seemed to give me the strength I needed in so many things. In all my 91 years I still said this prayer and believed.

On December 1, 2003, I felt a twinge and fluttering in my heart. Feeling rather weak and unsteady I took to bed. For a week I lay there, feeling these were to be my last days on earth. I didn’t even bother to eat. As I lay in bed I prayed that God would take me quietly with no pain or discomfort— Read the rest of this entry »

Who’s Here?

True Mystical Experience

by Dianne Lawson

Who’s here? I thought to myself.

It was November 1980, and I was unpacking dishes in the kitchen of our new house when I thought I heard adult voices in the living room. Knowing my three children and I were alone in the house, I wondered who the kids had let in. I went into the living room and found the room empty.

All three of my kids were in their respective rooms, with no adults in sight. I must have heard noises of adults talking Read the rest of this entry »

White Wolf

True Mystic Experiences

November 2000
by Pamela Krommendyk

Out of no where the white wolf appeared streaking across the road.

This experience happened high in the mountains in the Flagstaff, Arizona, area at midnight.

I was tired of driving and my children were sleeping beside me as I drove on through the night. I started to get that heavy eyelid feeling more intensely as the twelve o’clock hour approached. I was thinking intensely about the man I loved so dearly; only a day ago we said goodbye in California. Little did I know at the time that I would never see him again. Read the rest of this entry »

FATE Magazine “True Mystic Experiences”

When I was a young girl, I was a member of a group called “Brownies.” The troop building was not far from my school. This incident took place during the winter. It was so very cold and raining. It seemed the wind was always blowing. On this particular day I had walked home after school, and as I was doing my homework, I remembered my Brownie meeting. I rushed to my bedroom and put on my uniform. By now it was pouring down rain. I put the hood of my coat over my head and walked out the front door. I then ran as fast as I could to the troop building.

I was soaked by the time I arrived on the front porch. Nobody was there. I checked the front door and it was locked. It was either the wrong day or I was late for the meeting. The place was deserted. Read the rest of this entry »

The Disappearing Check

FATE Magazine “True Mystic Experiences”

My high school sweetheart and I were married soon after we graduated in 1970. Being children of the 1960s, we often talked about death and the occult. We agreed that whichever of us died first would try to make some kind of contact.

Jerry got into drugs, much to my dismay, and we eventually divorced in the late 1970s. As time went by, we both married again. We remained friends after our divorce but kept only minor contact.

In May 1993 I received a phone call that Jerry had died of an accidental drug overdose. I called my ex-sister-in-law who proceeded to tell me that Jerry’s current wife did not want me to attend his funeral. I did not want to cause any problems for the family, so I decided to abide by her wishes. Read the rest of this entry »

Heavenly Orb

Posted by staff On December - 31 - 2010

I remember that balmy summer evening in 2006 as if it were yesterday: suburban noises echoing in the warm outside air, dogs barking, the excited laughter of children, and the distant sound of cars and motorbikes snorting past in the merriment. I sat alone in my sitting room, meditating quietly on the joyful sounds outside in my neighborhood. The clock on the mantelpiece told me that it was just after 7:00 p.m. The television was switched off, and my mind gently surrendered to a quiet smoothness of contentment. From time to time,my eyes wandered to gaze at the familiar objects in the room: the small statue of Buddha on the mantle, the family photographs, and finally the large, colorful tapestry of a proud American Indian chief wearing a fabulous headdress of feathers.
